Gangsta Beats & Instrumentals For Gangsta Rap Artists & MixtapesGangsta beats have been around for decades now. Since the late 80's and early 90's, mixtapes and rap albums alike were pumping out serious hardcore tracks from a variety of artists. More and more gangsta rap artists came to the forefront and really made an impact to such a degree that the 90's were known as the gangsta rap era. It was also the point where there was a battle between east coast and west coast rap, to which each coast claimed it was better than its counterpart. I'm sure many of you remember this battle, and even more so, the gangsta instrumentals and music that came out back in the 90's that was a deep inspiration to other gangsta rap artists across the nation to come out and spit their own lyrics about their lives in the hood and so forth. That in itself was a reason I produced the 94 beats below! Gangsta beats were definitely one of my stronger inspirations... and I was never a gangsta or lived the street life (though I did live in the hood for most of my youth in New York such as Bed Stuy, East New York, and Harlem). Let's face it: the 90's really sparked a point in rap that would be the equivalent of how 60's music impacted the nation, in that it created its own era to which other generations would have to heavily compete against. Gangsta rap artists of today look up to, and emulate the 90's generation. Sadly however, it seems that gangsta beats weren't produced nearly as much, what with the change of the newer generation and making hip hop music more dance-like. It's difficult to find real good quality gangsta instrumentals nowadays that can really elevate gangsta rap artists of all areas. So Do Gangsta Beats Even Exist Anymore? Can I Find Them?Gangsta beats have pretty much gone extinct. Okay, I'm kidding. But given the industry standard today and what they dictate to be created, you see more producers going that route, so gangsta beats are becoming less commonplace. Does that mean that they're non-existent now? Not at all. In fact, I for one enjoyed the gangsta rap artists of the 90's, and their music was an inspiration in my music production today. Artists such as Nas, or Mobb Deep, or Terror Squad (Fat Joe, Big Pun, etc.) for example, all had hott tracks that brought gangsta instrumentals to life. I still listen to these types of tracks, and so, I make sure to make gangsta beats as well. *When you click the Mobile Image Button above for each beat to listen to it, you may be prompted to play it on a specific player on your phone. As phones vary, it is hard to advise what your phone will show or not upon pressing the button. If you cannot hear a beat you are playing, email me at genycis@yahoo.com and list to me the name of the beat you were trying to play. I can then send you an email with the tagged mp3 beat itself to listen to. I am still trying to figure out a workaround regarding the whole Android / iPhone / iPad issue since they don't play flash. In the meanwhile, hope this lets you hear the beats on your mobile phones or iPhone / iPad devices. Thank you for your patience with this matter. | |||||
