Licensing Terms For Non Exclusive Beats, Exclusive Beats, Custom Beats

Please note: With regards to leases or exclusive beats, custom beats, etc., when creating tracks, you need to be sure to credit me on any projects you use the beats on, whether single, EP, album, video, or other projects with "prod. by Genycis" or "beat by Genycis". Also, all beats are, as mentioned above, set up with 50/50 publishing rights as a 50% / 50% split between you as the composer (50%) and I as the composer / producer (50%). Non exclusive beats are not eligible for alteration unless otherwise reviewed and approved by Genycis. Beats under this license are eligible to be used for demos, mixtapes, albums, website use, commercials, movies, and other promotional uses. You may sell projects up to a certain amount of copies in relation to the options above. However, non exclusive beats may not be used in conjunction with larger scale demo, album, mixtape, or other media sales, major project work that is subject to contracts with major deals or labels, without the express written consent of German Lopez aka Genycis. Multiple people may license the same beat under Basic licensing. Non exclusive Beats generally run under $50.00 for non-exclusive licensing as a standard MP3, whereas options with high quality WAV file or Tracked out stems will cost more (as seen above). Non-exclusive licensing does NOT authorize the ability to resell this beat either as a Genycis beat, or as your own creation unless discussed with Genycis, and approval has been consented via email or written agreement. Again, any beats on Genycis.com are not for resale, distribution, sharing, or for download by any other parties other than Genycis unless written consent and approval has been discussed and stated per German Lopez aka Genycis of Genycis.com. These terms also are for beats on the Soundclick Beats page of this site, as well as the Rocbattle.com Beats page on this site as well, or anywhere else that you purchase a beat by Genycis. Please note the different options above for Non-Exclusive beats. All prices listed on the website are the basic Non-Exclusive Lease prices. Free Beats are considered under Non-Exclusive Licensing and follow all guidelines as listed above for Non-Exclusive guidelines. Unless otherwise stated via interaction with German Lopez aka Genycis, free beats (whether from the Free Beats section, or free beats downloaded upon joining as a member of Genycis.com, or free beats provided with promotional specials and sales after purchase) will be available and eligible for Non-Profit use. If you are wanting to sell tracks with a free beat, you will need to pay for a beat as a lease for the eligibility listed above. Again, free beats are considered non-exclusive and unless otherwise discussed with German Lopez aka Genycis to a contract agreement, are not considered exclusive and must follow the guidelines listed above, and as stated, are for Non-Profit use. Exclusive Licensing, allows you to use the beat for demos, mixtapes, albums, website use, commercials, movies, performances, and other promotional uses. Exclusive licensing allows only the user who purchases exclusive licensing rights to use the beat. Generally, beats that have been licensed under the Non-exclusive licensing previously are still eligible to be used for related projects prior to a purchase of Exclusive Licensing. Once you purchase a beat as Exclusive Licensing, I will remove the beat from the website as an Exclusive Licensing beat, and the beat will be sent to the licensee of the exclusive beat. The beat will then be marked as SOLD and no longer eligible to be leased or purchased by anyone else after you (unless for some reason, payment for Exclusive Licensing is declined, bounces, rejected at any time, etc., to which the beat will then be re-added back onto the site as any cancelled payments, rejected payments, etc., deem the Exclusive Licensing null and void.). Though purchase of exclusive licensing allows you full use of the beat, exclusive licensing does NOT authorize the ability to resell this beat to others, either as a Genycis beat, or as your own creation unless discussed with Genycis, and approval has been consented via email and/or written agreement. Also, as with leasing beats, there is a 50/50 Publishing split between the Licensor (Genycis) and the Licensee (you as artist) on all works that use my beat and your works. Also, regarding royalties from record / album sales, streams, etc., this should be discussed in the event your project grows into a larger project. We may be able to discuss terms further for a fair distribution of royalties between your team and my portion of the project. Rearranging of the beat you choose on the site (e.g. time, bpm, bars, etc.) can also be done for an extra $20 fee with Exclusive Licensing unless waived by Genycis, but the beat and melody will be maintained in the track. Meaning, I, Genycis, will not change an entire portion of the song to which the song itself is changed and almost sounds like an entirely new track. If you desire a CD be mailed, a full track out of each instrument of the beat is available at an additional $10 which covers CD cost and shipping. The FLP File itself is not for sale unless you are purchasing the entire beat for complete ownership, which values at $1,000 and up. Exclusive beats vary in price starting at $200.00, but also accumulate reductions when more Exclusive beats are purchased at the same time. Custom Exclusive Licensing costs vary per beat and start roughly at $300.00 and up. Custom beats are created from scratch and worked with the artist interested in licensing them. The beat will be your exclusive only, and will not be posted on the website. Please provide specifics to custom beats. Custom beats are licensed not bought as full ownership (unless you opt for the cost for a full ownership purchase vs custom exclusive licensing, which will cost more in price than licensing), although contract will allow you full rights to use the beat as you need and closely follow the terms of Exclusive Licensing as listed above. PLEASE READ: In order to secure work for a Custom Exclusive Licensing Beat, I reserve the right to charge a Minimum NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit Required of $20.00 up front upon my discretion. This can be paid via Paypal. Once this has been confirmed and paid for, working on the beat will start based off of some of the specifics that you provide. If there is a particular song to which you want the beat to sound like, please mention that as well. The more detail and specifics that can be given, the better it will be to try to create a beat to cater to your desire. PLEASE NOTE: I do not own, nor play any acoustic instruments. If you are looking for instruments that are authentic sounding in terms of an actual acoustic guitar or piano, or electric guitar for example, I do not own nor play them. Once the Custom Exclusive beat is completed, an mp3 with voiceover will be sent to your email to confirm with you if you like the beat. If you have other details to change of the beat, such as duration of verses or hooks, tempo, etc., you can then mention them to me as well and I can work on editing it. Once we have reached an agreeable point where the beat is to what you need, the beat will then be sent to you once the price of the beat that was agreed upon is sent in full. You may opt to also pay in portions, though you will not receive the completed beat without voiceover tags until the beat is paid in full. Also, as with leasing beats, there is a 50/50 Publishing split between the Licensor (Genycis) and the Licensee (you as artist) on all works that use my beat and your works. Also, regarding royalties from record / album sales, streams, etc., this should be discussed in the event your project grows into a larger project. We may be able to discuss terms further for a fair distribution of royalties between your team and my portion of the project. If at any point, you decide that you do not want the custom exclusive beat, or it doesn't fit your project needs, the contract will then become null and void in terms of completion requirements, though as stated above, for labor purposes, the $20.00 fee is not refundable. If you have paid any portion of the beat prior, then you will be refunded those funds, minus the $20.00 non-refundable fee. Also, the beat that was created initially for you as a custom beat is officially released as part of your works and is then allowed to be displayed on Genycis.com as a newly added beat available for any of the licenses above (Non-Exclusive, Exclusive, and/or Custom Exclusive Licensing) to which you no longer have control as deciding to cancel as stated, nullifies any contract made regarding completion of the beat(s). Full Rights Ownership costs vary per beat and start at roughly $1,000.00 and up, and grant you complete ownership of the beat in its entirety. The beat will be placed on a CD, as well as the project file. This beat is completely owned and may be resold, edited, re-created, and entirely changed. This beat, once fully bought out, is the sole ownership of the buyer and no longer the property of Genycis.com Beats. Contact me directly for further discussion. All copyrights remain under my possession and ownership, unless Full Rights Ownership is purchased. If you purchase Exclusive rights or Custom rights, you may do what you wish with the beat in terms of demos, albums, mixtapes, projects, videos, and so forth, with the exceptions listed above, and no one else will have ability to purchase it after you. To actually purchase full rights of the beats, please contact me for further discussion. I retain creation rights on all my beats and should be credited with producer or beatmaker comments on project work. All exclusive beats require signed contract or email agreement, and payment first before beats are sent out. All beats, whether non-exclusive or exclusive, will be sent out on a CD-R if requested for an additional $5.00 shipping (trackouts, only for exclusive or custom beats as mentioned above is a $10.00 charge which includes shipping).
