However, one thing that most people look for, is how to get more followers on Instagram so as to expand their reach to potential fans, potential clients that may be eager to do business with them as well.
If your Instagram account is a bit stagnant, or quiet, or you've not been posting consistently because you're disappointed at the amount of fans that you have, don't worry, you're not alone. However, amidst all the stress and worry about the amount of followers you may currently have, there are ways to improve things.
Leasing beats has been around for quite awhile. I actually remember when I first got into the beat selling industry almost 20 years ago, that people were leasing them back then, and it still holds true today. In fact, it seems that it's even more dominant now than it was 2 decades ago, as more producers are on the market selling beats, and more options are being provided to artists in terms of leases. So why is leasing beats a better way to go? Why should anyone really worry about leasing to begin with, why not just use them for free? I mean, what's wrong with that option anyway?
For one, using beats for free isn't a problem, as long as you have permission from the producer or beatmaker to use them for free. However, if you planned on using free beats without consent of the producer who created it, you can be setting yourself up for a world ...

SIC ILL's Innovative Style Brings The Masses of Fans In!
While there are a lot of artists out there that continue to push the envelope with their lyrics and the tracks they deliver to the masses, the artist known as SIC ILL continues to push the envelope even further with the unique style and flava of not only his hip hop tracks, but with the production and the animation tracks that he puts together as well. Not many look to do their own video work with animation, but SIC ILL pushes forward with that.
A perfect example of his unique flava and style is on his hit record, "Fast N Hot" which parodies McDonalds. It is definitely a unique feel to the track, and the video and music itself draws you in and has a catchy tune to it altogether.
To all my new and upcoming hip hop artists out there looking for advice on rapping, I thought I'd write out this little blog post with 5 tips that will hopefully help you with how to rap better than you may feel you do now. You'd be surprised as to how many kats there are out there spittin' on the mic, and while the competition is thick, a lot of kats out there are just quickly getting their cell phones out, recording some bars over a well known beat, and then uploading it. And this in my opinion is not the best way to get your name known and out there. So I wanted to write up this brief blog post for all of you out there that may find it helpful to boost your rap skills. So without further delay, here are 5 tips that I feel can help.
New Flava, "Blacked Out" by "I" featuring Project Pat and Damas
Dedicated Artist Justin Hibbert, aka "I" continues to bring more fire to the game, and his latest is a follow up single off of his latest bangin' EP, "Initiation" entitled, "Blacked Out". This track however, is a bit of a different twist from his usual music, and what sets this track off is the different approach and feel to the track that he brings to it. Even more, "I" has both famous hip hop artist "Project Pat", and reggae sensation "Damas" on this track, which already gives you an idea on the different direction this track proceeds to go in.
"I" has been switching on and off between making hip hop tracks and pop, but this track in particular adds a darker feel to it, but still brings a flava of mainstream to the table as well. I could easily see this track on the radio, especially since it has a smooth feel to it, a ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

I gotta tell you, lately I've been hearing more and more kats bringing the lyrical heat to the table! For me, this is very refreshing, given that the reason I got into making beats to begin with, was due to inspiration from lyrical artists that I grew up listening to in the 90's era of hip hop. And while all I kept hearing was more and more trap tracks, it's good to know that there are still a variety of lyrical artists out there taking pride in their music. And this kat does exactly that, and continues to push the envelope with his music, earning him true Bragging Rights!
I had to play on the words a bit, as the name of this talented artist's masterpiece, is entitled "Bragging Rights". Check out one of the tracks, "Blue Visa" below!

Well, I have to give props once again to yet another underground hip hop artist that is really making more and more of an impact to the music scene! It's good to see that there are more and more lyrical artists that are coming back out onto the battleground, and the latest kat that I'm posting a write up on has made the game 'Shift' to a new direction. This hip hop artist's name? He goes by the name Shift, and he has a lot to quality original music to deliver into this repetitive era of hip hop!
Shift has been making moves for quite some time now, and with the lyrical skills that he possesses, it's no question as to why. He spits flames on the mic and brings lyrical, verbal variety which is something that has become more lacking since trap music and club music have taken over the vibes of hip hop lately.
With the new era of hip hop making a firm stand for 2013, it's no surprise that more and more artists are coming out and making their mark on the scene. And Hip Hop artist Lil Red of 3 Entertainment Inc is among those upcoming artists that is really making a major impact on the hip hop scene with his music! The swagger that he brings to the fans and the music that he delivers has a major buzz going on now, and it's with this impact that he is emerging as a major breakout artist! Just take a listen to the video below!
Lil Red goes hard on the track "Destiny" as you can see from the video above, and he takes the hip hop game very seriously. These two icons make a great combo, and one can only wonder what else they will do together in the near future!
So by now, you know me and how I do in terms of hip hop music, especially when it comes to lyrical music versus club sounding music. And with that said, it should come as no surprise when you listen to the music that hip hop artist Thaahum brings to the table, and why I'm doing a write up about his music as well. Again, I'm more into the lyrical hip hop music, and I don't mean "lyrical" trap music, I mean that boom bap lyrical make you think and f**k up your mind a little bit music. And that's what Thaahum brings to the table!
The music that Thaahum brings to the table really brings me back to the days and age where beats banged like hell and lyrics really equaled out to the beats. It's like there was just a certain element of flava that music back then brought to my ears, where I could listen to most of if not all of an ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

OpiaMusic Stands Up For You and Your Originality As a Music Artist
It's a shame when I think about the changes that have happened, as a matter of my opinion anyway, with music today and the originality factor. I know some of you trip out at my saying it, but I'll say it again regardless... music in this generation has lost it's appeal and originality. I know there are some that will disagree with me on this, but there are many more that grew up in my generation that wholeheartedly agree. Originality is gone, or should I rephrase and say, originality is kept underground. But that's not where it should be, and the service OpiaMusic is pushing strong to do something about that as well.
OpiaMusic started its foundation on the basis of talent and originality that music artists have. The founders are aware that there are numerous talented ORIGINAL sounding artists and musicians out there, and so it is gearing up strong to help those artists ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

YTA - Youngin' the Artist Bringin' The Hot To The Mic
What's goin' on? It's Genycis once again bringin' you another blog post on another bangin' lyrical artist burning fires on any mic he touches. You all know how I am about lyrical kats... if you're lyrical, and even more so, if you're nice on the mic, you know you have my attention! And this kat right here, this hip hop artist by the name Youngin' or YTA, this kat is bringin' the Hot to the Mic and had my attention with the tracks!!
YTA has been in the rap game for a good while now, and you can tell from the quality and flow that he delivers, that he's been doing it for awhile and that he's passionate about his work. His vocals have a bit of a raspyness to the tone, which sets off the tracks nicely in a grimey manner, yet the flow and delivery of the tracks brings ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What's up hip hop heads? I had to bring the review back your way again on another bangin' hip hop video! Some of you remember before that I covered a review on Mic Nice's track and video, "Go", on a previous blog entry. But on another tip, Mic Nice brought PURE FIRE, and trust me when I say this, PURE FIRE, with this new track and video, "Evil People"! Watch it below and see what I mean!
I had the chance to watch this video on Youtube and Yooo, Mic Nice brought it hard this time around! Well, I had to feed the minds of all of the readers again with a bit more insight on the lyrical forefront, this time from a lyrical soldier who goes by the name Sun Rise Above, or also known as Sun R.A.. This kat has brought that true lyrical flava of hip hop to the forefront, proving that hip hop is NOT dead, but that it resides strongly in the hearts of kats like Sun R.A. and others who still respect and appreciate the lyrical form that hip hop was birthed to be. You know I def give props whenever I hear kats that bring that lyrical flava especially when it reminds me of some of the greats of the 90's that influenced me to begin with, and Sun R.A. definitely brings that flava in my opinion!
But then it's no surprise though. Sun R.A. has been spitting lyrical infernos in the underground for some years now, another sign that shows he's still about the game, ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
If you are into beats, whether listening to them, or especially if you make beats, you already know that it's very valuable that you have a powerful drum library on hand to make some heat. And with that said, I want to bring some attention to some powerful drum sample kits you can pick up for your beat making needs.
I wanted to call attention to The Producer's Choice, a website dedicated to high quality drum samples for your hip hop beat making needs. I just wanted to take a moment via my blog posts, and shout some attention to another talented individual who runs the website, OnlineHipHopBeats.com. This kat doesn't like to hit the spotlight much as his name is a bit more concealed and he simply posts or goes as the "OnlineHipHopBeats" screen name. But this kat is bringing some serious hip hop beats to the table as well!
For the kats that are looking for some extra flavaful commercial type beats for your next mixtape or album, you'll want to check out OnlineHipHopBeats.com and check out the beats that this kat is bringing to the table. The sounds (especially for those of you that favor the commercial era this generation is making) blaze and definitely fit that commercial era well. The melodies that were put together also blend pretty nicely, so you'll be guaranteed to get some melodic fire for your next mixtape needs.
The one thing about music in general that I love and that keeps me into it with enjoyment and pleasure, is that there is virtually an unlimited amount of creativity and variety that can go into making music. And those of you who know me already or know of my work with the hip hop beats I make, know that I enjoy variety and being creative. That said, I want to focus my attention not on my beats, but on this talented hip hop artist, Logan, that I had the pleasure of chatting with and checking out.
I had the chance of listening to Logan's debut mixtape on Datpiff, "The Hangover" which he released earlier this year, and the fam is bringing some grade A quality heat to the table! Those of you who know me know I'm not a person who likes just any type of music. NokSide Shows That Positive Hip Hop Music Still Stands Strong

There are a handful of artists out there that are still grindin' it out in the underground and bringing uplifting and soulful music to the forefront, and NokSide is grindin' hard and making heavy music presence with his soulful flava!
If you look, um, rather, listen around you, you hear more and more kats that are geared towards this constant trend of trap music, looking for trap beats and making this type of music non stop. Okay, so you're probably thinking right now, "Yo Gen, why are you promoting another hip hop beats related producer on your blog?" and the answer to that is simple: Because I can. Who would've ever thought that in this generation we live in, technology would change up the game on just about every avenue you can think of, especially for the aspiring and growing rap artist. If you think about it, back then, if you wanted to be heard, you really had to kick out money to get heard. If you're anything like I am, than I'm sure that there are points where you like to ride in the whip and bang out some serious tracks, but don't have the right car audio equipment on hand. I think I'm very particular myself, and I remember at one point, that my amplifier blew out. Maybe it's the O.C.D. within me that I still don't know I have or not, but when my amplifier blew out, I had to try my best to get my car fixed immediately, and had to buy a new amp. I couldn't ride around with some radio speakers without some kind of kick. And if you're anything like I am, you value car audio equipment just as much as I do if not more. Have you had your speaker or amp blow out and you felt lost? Lol!
It's a troubling thing indeed, and sometimes you just don't want to shell out incredible money for a simple amplifier or pair of speakers ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
When one thinks of electronic music, the thought that probably comes to mind is the scene of a night club and some rhythmic, catchy dance vibe just taking over the club. Outside of that, not many people probably gave much thought to electronic dance music at all. But over the years, it has really become much bigger and more intense than some may think or even give it credit for. And recently, it's growing to even stronger heights than ever imagined!
The vibe of electronic music has actually been around for quite some time, probably as far back as the early 70's when it of course was associated to that night club feel. DJ's took the vibe of it and amplified it to make the crowds really feel the intensity of the music and want to groove and dance all night. However, it never really got the publicity that other genres of music, like Rock n Roll, or Disco, or Hip Hop received over their growths. ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
I often ask myself from time to time, what is it about hip hop that keeps me focused in on it and continuing to network more and more, and to continue to make beats. What is it about hip hop that lets me enjoy it as much as I do, that has me immersed in all of her beauty from head to toe. And when I ask myself that, I'm reminded. I remain in hip hop because of hott music, bangin' artists and singers who do their thing on the mic, not for the goal of putting anything together just for cash, but for the love of the music and all that Lady Hip Hop stands for! I'm reminded again to the answer with the latest track and video I've seen and heard: "GO" from Mic Nice!
Before I even go further, I'll let you peep the video for yourself. You can check it out below:
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Music is a great thing, and what's great about it is that you can have more and more artists, producers, etc coming to the music scene and it will never be saturated. And yet some of the music industry does seem repetitive in nature, you still have those that come to the forefront, putting in their hustle and grind and making music not for the hustle of trying to be famous like everyone else being mimicked out there, but simply for the love of music, for the love of hip hop in this case, which is what ThoughtsAtWerk brings to the table!
I visited their website, and I gotta say, the quote on their bio really caught my eye: "The Greatest pleasure in life is doing what you're told you cannot do". That quote right there speaks so many volumes it's ridiculous! I mean absorb that thought for a moment as a musician, as a hip hop ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

Cheap concert tickets... sure, the concept of cheap is great, but do you actually find concert tickets anymore that are really lower in price? Or do you go into your pockets ready to buy that pass to a great show or game, only to then realize afterwards... "did I REALLY spend That MUCH??" Have you ever felt that way after a concert or game? I know I have. And why do these things cost so much? Why aren't there cheap concert tickets out there?
Well, one of the main reasons you probably don't really find cheap concert tickets, is that there are tons of fees slapped on them. You never really know what the fees are for, they're always deemed as "administration fees", so that can mean anything. And they always seem to climb up more and more, year after year. That makes less people wanting to go to concerts and other events, especially with the recession that we're ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

Where Can I Find Sounds To Take My Music To The Next Level?
"Where can I find sounds to make beats?" - Where some aspire as rappers and singers to find beats that will set themselves off on their next hip hop mixtapes or rap albums, r&b albums or videos, and other projects in the works, others are out there aspiring to make beats themselves, and looking for ways, and sounds, to do so. And then there are artists that try to find a way to make their own beats so as not to worry about having to buy them either (though this isn't always the greatest option if you have a project pressed). With that said, the question of 'where can I find sounds' depends on what you are looking for. Here are some ideas:

Or do you feel like you have the talent but want to polish up on your skills a bit more than you feel content with? Do any of these scenarios sound more or less like you or how you feel and think?
So of course, with rap and hip hop music being so popular, it's no surprise that people want the question, "how can I rap?" answered. Hip hop has climbed up and become more commonplace in the years that it's been around, and continues to bring more fans and listeners to the table that also want to be rappers. Where can I find beats? - this question has probably got to be one of the most frequently asked questions across the internet for upcoming rap artists and singers. If you are a rap artist or singer, chances are you've asked this question many a time, and with good reason of course. This question, along with your actions to the answer is what separates the true pursuing artist from the hobbyist rapper or singer who is not serious about their work or investing in themselves either. So I thought I'd take a moment to list my top ten rap songs by Wu-Tang Clan as one of the many tributes that I'll probably post on my blog in reference to 90's hip hop music. After all, for me, I'd have to say that most of my hip hop beats are influenced by the bangin' flava that the 90's era put out. This was the era that hip hop blew up big time, and that wordplay was at its highest peak! Though hip hop in my eyes and ears is long gone from what it used to be in the 90's, I still want to give the tribute where it's due, and so I decided to list what I feel are probably my top ten rap songs from Wu-Tang Clan... and this is compiled from songs that either the Wu did as a whole, or that individual or combined artists did (not subsidiaries such as ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What are the best beats to rap on or instrumentals to sing over when it comes to your craft? If you are an R&B artist, should you only be limited to the styles that most R&B instrumentals tend to have? Are you forbidden to writing on something harder? And must all R&B music be deep and emotional or sensual and passionate? Or what if you're more of a street rapper reppin' and spittin' about the hood? Should you not be allowed to write some deep inspiring lyrics to something more subtle and mood setting? What are your thoughts? Should thug rappers stay thug rappers and R&B singers not have any emotions other than sweet or deep?
The truth is, with so many different styles out, and so many different producers, there's even more of a variety out now than ever before in terms of what beats to rap on or what you should sing to. You have producers that ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What Is Rap Music - My Thoughts On This Age Old Question
What is rap music? This question gets steamrolled over and over again, with so many different answers that one can't even begin to put together the correct answer. Is there a correct answer? Or is it all in the eyes, or should I say ears, of the beholder? I guess that's what the question really is, to me anyway.
So what is it? Some people see it as a form of expression. If you can spit a few bars over some hot rap beats and express a particular topic, then you have the answer. Some others feel that as long as you have a bounce to the overall track, even if the lyrics aren't all there, you still have an answer to that age old question, "what is rap music?".
So on that note, I'll probably get blasted by some for this, and maybe not so much by others, which proves my basis, that it's all ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

Beats To Music - Turning Beats You Buy Into Great Music
Beats to music and how to create music out of them is a matter of coming up with something fitting and powerful to powerful hip hop beats and rap instrumentals, or any type of beat or instrumental for that matter. Too often, musical concepts are thought of, hot lyrics are created at the tip of a pencil to paper, and inspiring song lyrics are written, but they are usually written prior to feeling out a beat or instrumental to see if it works out at all to their benefit, or if it is a failed conception before it had a chance to hit the radio, mixtape, or album.
Turning beats to music is something that can be done with a bit more ease, as long as you allow yourself to be immersed into the hip hop instrumentals or R&B beats that you listen to first. Sometimes, you can create a very powerful music track or a ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

what sustains the longevity of soundfonts? And why are these sounds

Mobb Deep Beats - Which Are Your Top 5 Beats Of All Time?
Over the years, I have had some influences from all kinds of hip hop music, rap music, r&b music, and even other types of music such as classical music, movie scores, and even video game music. In the course of hard, gangsta street rap, the beats always stand out to me. One of the more influential hip hop groups that has impacted my hip hop beats style has to be Mobb Deep.
The grimey and raw style of beats that came to the table, followed up with some nice lyrical warfare really had me listening and wanting to hear more. The earlier albums especially influenced me, such as the "Hell On Earth" rap album or the "Murda Muzik" album as well. Even the "Infamy" album placed some influence onto my music production. I mean, the lyrics were raw, the beats were simple but on point, and the marriage between lyrics and beats brought ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

Dark Rap Instrumentals - Does It Provoke Death Or Is It Just Aggressive?
There's often a lot of debate about whether dark rap instrumentals are just aggressive in nature, or if they call out the beast from within, making lyrical havoc occur in reality. I personally don't think it's so much that music causes actions to be done... though some always want to blame musicians for their suicide attempts or their murder sprees. So do dark rap instrumentals cause the same issue?
Most horrorcore rap artists are the ones that prefer the darkest of rap beats to use in their mixtapes or albums. Horrorcore rappers are known to have a very vulgar and descriptive array of bloodshed, mayhem, and dismemberment going on, among other topics that are brought about. But if the case were that music such as dark hip hop music influenced others to kill people all the time, would there not be a whole lot more dead bodies that would be reported all over the ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Worldstar Hip Hop is known for putting up tons of hip hop video content, as well as off the wall videos including beatdowns, and honeys as well. Let the hip hop beef continue between hip hop rapper and G-Unit President / CEO 50 Cent and Ja Rule as it seems it probably never really died! These two could beef all day and night probably. This time, the beef is based on Ja Rule's prison sentencing that's scheduled to come up based on a 2007 firearm possession charge that was filed against the rapper.
Ja Rule is scheduled for sentencing and will serve roughly 2 years in prison for the felony, a prison sentence that was reduced from a possible 3 - 15 year term due to the fact that Ja Rule plead guilty to the possession charge.
The dispute is based on some nice words that 50 Cent had for Ja Rule about his going to prison for 2 years. It seems that 50 Cent made comments on Twitter to reference (more than likely sarcastically) that no one had better mess with Ja Rule while he was in prison or it was gonna be ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Yet another well known star of the hip hop community was the target of back taxes and owed funds to the IRS. It just continues to amaze me, where there's times that I wish I was making a third of what some of these stars were making, that the ones actually making it continue to place themselves in financial hardship and problems. Why??
Slammed with over $2.2 million dollars in a tax lien, hip hop star and icon Doug E Fresh is dealing with the issue as best as possible. The tax lien was filed back in October this year.
This is not the first stint of back taxes or other financial woes that Doug E Fresh has faced. Back in December of 2008, Doug E Fresh was slammed with financial hardships in the large sum of over $3.5 million dollars on his three homes as well, in addition to having suffered a $60k American Express credit card debt.

The hip hop industry continues to grow more and more with new artists, new singers, and of course, new beat makers and producers.
Added to the list of new hip hop beat makers is Iggy Flow of 7 Side Strong Productions. Iggyflow has started to put together a catalog of beats, including one more popular on Soundclick called "Iggy's Jerkbeat" where he does a spin to the known "New Boyz" track "You're A Jerk".
Iggyflow has been doing music for some time now, and is also a dedicated guitarist.
Check Iggyflow out at www.iggyflow.webs.com to find out more about this kat, and what's in store, as well as to stay tuned with more info on his upcoming album release. Big ups from Genycis.com!
New hip hop instrumentals - you gotta love them! They make a website go round, and this December, I've added over 30 new beats to the site, officially leaving the 300 mark in the dust! For those of you who are looking for hip hop beats for your next album or mixtape, you can find a greater variety at Genycis.com, and the site only keeps growing!
So far, up to date, I've created and added to the site, a total of 339 beats... and this is not counting the other beats on other sites like my hip hop beats at Rocbattle.com, or other beats I have at Mybeatshop.com as well. And, this total doesn't count the free beats that are available on here, and the other free beats you can download when you join the site! It's all about keeping the beats growing, and there are more than a great share of rap beats on here!
With so much competition in the music industry, anyone can feel
overwhelmed and feel a sense of defeat in getting their music heard.
There's always someone new on the stage, on the airwaves, and online
that will give your music a run for its money. However, don't allow
yourself to feel defeated. It will all fall into place, and these next
few tips will help jump start or stimulate your presence to the music
industry.
First on the list is to be humble but confident. No
one likes someone who is so arrogant it makes them feel annoyed. And
where there are cocky musicians or music artists, there is bound to be a
decline in presence and people actually listening to their music.
Someone more humble who also inquires on thoughts of the fans and takes
constructive criticism well, will find that people will deal with them
more often. The confidence must be there though ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Just when you thought you heard it all... you never really have heard it all. It's official... ANYTHING can be turned into an Autotune remix! It never ceases to amaze me what's taken, flipped, and remixed, but this one may surprise you if you haven't already seen it especially. So what exactly is the content that was changed up?
A few days ago, in Huntsville, Alabama, there was an incident involving an attempted rape. The dude apparently climbed up to the 2nd floor using a garbage can to lift himself up. The girl was not raped, but funny enough, the rape is not even the focus of the article at all. It is on brother Antoine Dodson of the attempted victim who voiced his opinions of the whole ordeal. He was very upset and voiced his opinion on live TV. I can't really say too much because it still doesn't give you the feel of the video. You may have to see the original Antoine Dodson ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Okay, I heard this track on BET's 106 & Park the other day more in depth than I ever allowed myself to listen to before... and I'm really not sure but it just doesn't do it for me. I know there are so many out there that will stick by this track and call it hip hop music... and maybe it is, or maybe I'm so stuck into the mindset of more of the 90's hip hop era where hip hop lyrics blew me away and the power of hip hop beats and rap instrumentals back then really set the track into motion! Can any of you all tell me what really makes this track "one of the hottest hip hop tracks ever" as I've heard some people call it? I don't understand it...
The latest installment to "The Drought Is Over" series is still questionable as far as a release date, and there are leaks around the internet of tracks that are going to be featured on this anticipated hip hop mixtape. Then there are others who question what the hell was in mind with the person who did the cover art... some see it as no problem at all, and others are of course not so pleased with the cover. Is Lil Wayne posing as though he is Christ reincarnate? Or what is he conveying on this album cover?
Of course, there is always the controversy when ever anyone imitates or impersonates Christ in any type of picture, especially the crucifixion image... so the question is, has he pushed some fans away with this album cover? Are people overreacting to the image on the cover? What are your thoughts to the mixtape album cover? Tasteless? The tightest cover art you've ever seen? Drop your comments... what are ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Where there's hip hop music, especially with the new wave of today's modern hip hop feel, there's bound to be a soiree of hip hop artists and executives grinding out on the networking and connection moments. And where there are hip hop artists, there's usually a flock of females around them, most seeming to be involved in the model industry.
So exactly where do some of these buxom, gorgeous bodies find themselves? Where do they network and seek exposure? One of the prominent websites that these models flock to, whether they're hip hop models, music video models, magazine models, or otherwise, is Urbancandyshop.com! With several exclusive photos already added to the growing list of photos at Urbancandyshop, and more to come, models are pushing and networking to get their featured exclusive photos at Urbancandyshop.com as soon as they are able. There have been several models that have built exposure into other avenues with the publicity of Urbancandyshop.com, which has also paved a way for networking to ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Where on the surface of hip hop radio, it seems to many that hip hop and rap has indeed suffered a fatal death to the conformity of the new era of "hip hop", there seems to be other avenues sparking about whether in the cut, or in the hip hop underground, that still produce lyrical artists of all styles to come to the surface, pen as a weapon and tongue as a blade.
Among the resurrected is Dres from Black Sheep, who has released a hott hip hop lyrical piece featuring the Blacksmith's Jean Grae. The track, entitled "Party Tonight", brings the sassy soulful feel of male and female hip hop duet back to the surface, and shows how lyrical hip hop should still stand strong. Both Dres and Jean enjoyed putting the track together, with the vibe of a feel good uplifting party feel, in that hip hop era. This is not your typical "booty shakin get wild in the club" type feel. This is ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Had to put in some work time, but amidst all of the hours put in, I was able to still bring forth a new Youtube video to add to the mix. So it isn't a remake of a beat like I did with remaking Ciara's "Like A Boy" in FL Studio, but I decided to share something else nonetheless. You know that I'm still gonna create hip hop beats and R&B instrumentals though regardless... so I thought to take it a bit further with this video.
I tested myself to create a beat concept in under 10 minutes, mainly being that Youtube only allows a 10 minute maximum, and I wasn't trying to create two parts to this beat. However, I managed to still get the concept flowing in order with this video. I already have a pre-made template that I use where my plugins and mixing is situated the way I like my beats to sound, so that part was pretty much already done just ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
So what's the deal with Pleasure P and the news buzzing around Twitter lately? The buzz has been blazin' about the former pop / r&b / hip hop Pretty Ricky star, all directed to allegations of child molestation that were brought about from Laura Goldstein, the daughter of Pleasure P's former lawyer Anthony Goldstein. The daughter of the lawyer went on to proceed that Pleasure P had molested a child years ago, and that his record label covered all possible information that would lead to this leaking out.
Laura's statement towards the whole situation was as follows: "This guy Pleasure P got kicked out of a group because he was hiding
that he was a child molester. His managers or whatever hired my dad to
keep it quiet so he could get a record deal. The guy Pleasure P
molested a 4 yr old child and was about to molest another one when
police came and saved the child. Now, the truth is out they’re
threatening ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

And as of this week, Genycis.com has added 20 brand new beats to the table for you to check out! A variety of beats have been added, from dirty south beats, to rap instrumentals, r&b beats, some east coast beats, and even a couple club beats were added to the mix! For those that are trying to get themselves into the industry and feel that they can just push right into it, the reality check may be a rude awakening once you realize that it's not that easy at all. It's probably safe to say that most rap artists that are trying to get into the industry won't make it where they hoped and dreamed they would. But then, another thing to keep in mind is as the old saying goes... "you get out of it, what you put into it".
Keeping that in mind, people that are really trying to get into the industry have to really step their game up. I don't mean lyrical game so much as I mean hard work, dedication, and persistence. For every artist that thinks they're the greatest rapper out there, there are at least twenty more that are better than you. But the question is, have they put in the work that you have? If you haven't ...

Well, it seems that 50 Cent's new album so far, is scheduled to drop on November 3rd of this 2009 year. So what will the album cover look like? And who is scheduled to be on this new album coming this fall / winter? Well, though this hip hop album is set for November, the cover above may be what the new album's image will show. Guess we'll know for sure once the rap album drops.
Some of the known names that will be featured on this album are Eminem, Nate Dogg, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and will have more star producers hitting their hard hitting hip hop and rap beats on the album. Some of the producers slated for this album are Dr. Dre (of course), Eminem, Swizz Beats, and Scott Storch. Other producers will feature Red Spyda, Needlz, Don Cannon, and others. Will this album be serious heat? November's almost here to find out...
Looking for a more hip hop music / African music fusion feeling? You'll want to check into the latest album coming up in the near future! As it appears, the collaboration is in effect to continue forward. As you may or may not have already seen on the internet, or through other news, the project "Distant Relatives" continues forward, with an extensive track listing set up so far.
So far, there is no official date, but it appears that Damian Marley, Nas, and others are pushing forward with this project. It'll prove to be a very interesting collaboration, as it is set to have an African feel, and to have quite a few cameos from known greats in music. Among some of them are Stevie Wonder, 9th Wonder, K'naan, Erykah Badu, and more! It's been mentioned that both Nas and Damian have been performing some of the songs on the Rock the Bells Tour, and seems to be receiving good reviews. The upcoming full length ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Sorry for the delayed hiatus, but as personal issues come about in my life, I still have to find a way to make time for them here and there. But, no need to worry, because the hip hop beats are NOT going to cease here unless I God forbid, pass away sometime soon.
With every delay, comes a return, and so I'm happy to announce, that for this return, there are now FIVE new beats for now, and more to come hopefully by the end of this week! I'm going to continue making hip hop beats, rap beats, r&b beats, club beats, and more! The beats will not die. I've also added THREE new beats that are inside the Members area of the Genycis.com site, that can be heard when you join the Genycis.com website. More beats will be added on the surface, but some new beats over the time will also be added within the Members area only! You can join the site ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
When you think of Michael Jackson, so many words come to mind. People of our parents' generations loved him, people of our generation enjoyed his music, people of our children's generations now have been told of him. When you hear the name Michael Jackson, you can't help but have the words "icon" and great music come to mind.
Whether you're an upcoming musician, singer, beat maker, producer, or an avid listener of music, you know who Michael Jackson is. Singers have sung songs he's written. Musicians have worked and collaborated with him. Producers have created instrumentals for him. Listeners continue to enjoy his music even to this day. Michael Jackson is and will forever be, the Icon and King of Pop Music.
Today, on June 25th, 2009, less than an hour ago from the time I write this blog, the Icon, the King of Pop, sad to say, has passed away at the young age of 50 due to cardiac arrest. He was reported to be in ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
When Kelis is broke... no worries, just ask Nas for money. That appears to be the latest issue going on now with the soon to be divorced couple. As of late, it appears that Kelis, who is very strapped for cash at this time, plans to simply utilize all of Nas' money for her needs, mainly for their child-to-be.
Sources show from TMZ, that Kelis is flat broke, and needs her current husband Nas to shell out money for baby expenses and other needs. Sources also say that Kelis has indeed filed her paperwork for petitions to push for spousal support, child support, pregnancy needs, and medical bills in relation to her pregnancy. After everything is calculated, it may well be over $25,000 in funds that Kelis is going to demand or ask of her soon to be ex-husband.
While it appears that most of the money to be requested from her petitions appears to be for the baby, ya sorta have to ask yourself... will it ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
While Prodigy of Mobb Deep does his time in the penitentary for gun
possession charges, the well known Mobb Deep rap artist had some choice
words to say about the choices being made by Vibe Magazine regarding
“Best Rapper Alive” which can also be found on Sohh.com. Here’s what P
had to say:
“Now it’s the slavery of our minds covertly,” P wrote. “There’s people out there who get the chills when they hear Rick Ross,
like he’s something special. These are the kind of fools we’re dealing
with…I was just reading Vibe Magazine’s ‘Best Rapper Alive 2008′
article…Vibe says 920,000 people voted for it. I would
personally b*tch slap all 920,000 of these voters if given the
opportunity. Who in the f*ck picked Crooked I, Flo Rida and Rich Boy? How did Vibe approve this? In the back of the Vibe, they have a section called ‘20 Questions,’ they actually try to imply that The Game’s album LAX is better than 50 Cent’s Massacre ...
Alchemist said to release Chemical Warfare this coming July:
Listed release date of one of the illest hip hop / rap producers,
The Alchemist, is said to be released this July 7th, 2009. The entire
album is produced strictly by The Alchemist and is anticipated to be a
hip hop / rap bangah! Envisioning producers who enjoyed the full feel
of hip hop beats and rap beats on tracks with hot lyrical murdering
artists will more than likely enjoy listening to this album from start
to finish. Those more into the Gucci Mane, T-Pain type feel will
probably turn their head to this one. This is for the pure hip hop and
rap fan at heart.
Listed on Yoraps.com, the album Chemical Warfare is expected to feature several rap and hip hop artists such as Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Three 6 Mafia, Juvenile, Twista, Jadakiss, Maxwell, Styles P, Travis (Gym Class Heroes), Nina Sky, Clipse
but not limited to only these. The video above ...
I know it's been a bit of time since I've updated the blog site, but
I've been working hard to release a new website in addition to my
already growing www.genycis.com
website. In addition to creating hip hop, rap, and R&B beats for
sale to upcoming and established rap artists and singers, I've also
been into the design of sounds for as long as I've been making beats,
which has been for a few years now. Of course, we as beat makers and
producers know, that in order to make hott beats, we have to keep our
catalog of sounds growing just as much as we keep our catalog of beats
growing for the artists we cater to.
With that said, I've decided to start up a website called SoundsForBeats.com
to sell some of these instrument sounds for a low low price, rather
than to do as many websites do that sell sound kits and packages. I
have decided to continue using Soundfonts as my ...
Hard work does indeed pay off, and not
necessarily only in a monetary level. Some of us immediately look for
the monetary only, or else there’s no “pay off”. While I can say I’m
grateful for the monetary purchases that have been made by my clients
from my www.genycis.com
beat website (much respect and thanks to all of you who have purchased,
or intend to soon), I can also say I’m very grateful as well for the
fact that I have clients and people that are really interested in the
music I create. And for those that have listened a time or two and
enjoyed but haven’t made your way back… jump on board now, copp you a
beat or two, and get into the studio and start hammering some tracks!
Lol!
I have been Blessed to say that over the years I’ve put in with
making beats and instrumentals, I have had a steady fanbase and support
for what I do. Some are more ...
It’s funny but when I look back to music in the 90’s, and listen to
the hip hop music of today, I’m still lost as to where the music has
changed so drastically to where lyrical music is hardly even created
anymore. Let me clarify… for hip hop / R&B, it seems like (to me)
that lyrical music is hardly created anymore. More and more songs are
playing chameleon to other songs, and the entire radio airwaves are
saturated with wanna be songs and wanna-wanna be songs. What happened
to the originality? What happened to lyrical content? I’m clueless.
I guess my mind has gone through one of those timewarps that we used to
clown our parents about when we were growing up, whenever we’d hear
songs they played around us. I can sorta tolerate songs of today in
the hip hop and R&B field, but it’s more on the level of
instrumentals or beats if anything. The words on some of these songs
to ...
When you hear the word FREE, does it spark
immediate interest? Ever order a pizza from a pizza place faster when
they offer a Buy 1 pie, and get 1 FREE? How about going to Wal-Mart or
a supermarket when doing your grocery shopping, and taking advantage of
several Buy 1 Get 1 FREE sales? Or maybe even youve been lucky to
go to a clothing store where theyre having a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE sale
does it not spark an emotion of joy, knowing that youre getting
something extra for the price of just the one item?
I can definitely understand the feeling, and can say that Ive been
one who enjoys the Buy 1 Get 1 FREE sales. I mean, who doesnt?
Anytime something good can be gained for free, its always a good
thing. Thats why Im utilizing the similar concept on my beats on my www.genycis.com
website. I k now that for alot of up and coming rappers, singers, and
