SIC ILL's Innovative Style Brings The Masses of Fans In!
While there are a lot of artists out there that continue to push the envelope with their lyrics and the tracks they deliver to the masses, the artist known as SIC ILL continues to push the envelope even further with the unique style and flava of not only his hip hop tracks, but with the production and the animation tracks that he puts together as well. Not many look to do their own video work with animation, but SIC ILL pushes forward with that.
A perfect example of his unique flava and style is on his hit record, "Fast N Hot" which parodies McDonalds. It is definitely a unique feel to the track, and the video and music itself draws you in and has a catchy tune to it altogether.
New Flava, "Blacked Out" by "I" featuring Project Pat and Damas
Dedicated Artist Justin Hibbert, aka "I" continues to bring more fire to the game, and his latest is a follow up single off of his latest bangin' EP, "Initiation" entitled, "Blacked Out". This track however, is a bit of a different twist from his usual music, and what sets this track off is the different approach and feel to the track that he brings to it. Even more, "I" has both famous hip hop artist "Project Pat", and reggae sensation "Damas" on this track, which already gives you an idea on the different direction this track proceeds to go in.
"I" has been switching on and off between making hip hop tracks and pop, but this track in particular adds a darker feel to it, but still brings a flava of mainstream to the table as well. I could easily see this track on the radio, especially since it has a smooth feel to it, a ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

I gotta tell you, lately I've been hearing more and more kats bringing the lyrical heat to the table! For me, this is very refreshing, given that the reason I got into making beats to begin with, was due to inspiration from lyrical artists that I grew up listening to in the 90's era of hip hop. And while all I kept hearing was more and more trap tracks, it's good to know that there are still a variety of lyrical artists out there taking pride in their music. And this kat does exactly that, and continues to push the envelope with his music, earning him true Bragging Rights!
I had to play on the words a bit, as the name of this talented artist's masterpiece, is entitled "Bragging Rights". Check out one of the tracks, "Blue Visa" below!
Pipedream Music Group proudly presents Mr. Fritz and his release, "Bragging Rights". This album provides you with 13 bangin' tracks, along with four skits (remember back in the ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Matthew Schultz Does It Again! Check Out The Latest Single Ft. Jim Jones
If you've been waiting for the latest banger from Matthew Schultz, wait no longer! The highly anticipated hip hop single, "Money or Me" has been released, and it's taken the world by storm already! The video has well over a million views, and it's easy to see why! With both of these talented artists putting together such a blazin' track, it's easily drawn the crowds and the attention to it. Take a listen below and hear for yourself!
This track brings a nice blend of acoustic rock flava and that gritty street flava that Jim Jones is known to bring to any track he spits over. The result is a bangin' solid fusion of hip hop and rock that has taken full impact to the masses! These two icons make a great combo, and one can only wonder what else they will do together in the near future!
So by now, you know me and how I do in terms of hip hop music, especially when it comes to lyrical music versus club sounding music. And with that said, it should come as no surprise when you listen to the music that hip hop artist Thaahum brings to the table, and why I'm doing a write up about his music as well. Again, I'm more into the lyrical hip hop music, and I don't mean "lyrical" trap music, I mean that boom bap lyrical make you think and f**k up your mind a little bit music. And that's what Thaahum brings to the table!
The music that Thaahum brings to the table really brings me back to the days and age where beats banged like hell and lyrics really equaled out to the beats. It's like there was just a certain element of flava that music back then brought to my ears, where I could listen to most of if not all of an ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What's goin' on, it's Genycis once again droppin' another post on the blog for you. I wanted to bring your ears and attention and bring your attentive ears to the forefront while your eyes absorb what I'm about to tell you, and that is this simple message: You GOTTA peep the music from my man Marcus Norris. Again, that is Marcus Norris, and you gotta peep the music he's bringin' to the table.
This kat is delivering it all to you, in many forms, which is why I had to call him the "Flavaful Man of Many Flavaz". When you hear his music, you'll hear exactly what I'm talking about. I listened to the tracks that he has displayed at his website at MarcusNorris.com and this dude delivers nicely, allowing me to enjoy all of the tracks he put forth on the site. But then, I'll let'cha check it out for yourself for a listen.
YTA - Youngin' the Artist Bringin' The Hot To The Mic
What's goin' on? It's Genycis once again bringin' you another blog post on another bangin' lyrical artist burning fires on any mic he touches. You all know how I am about lyrical kats... if you're lyrical, and even more so, if you're nice on the mic, you know you have my attention! And this kat right here, this hip hop artist by the name Youngin' or YTA, this kat is bringin' the Hot to the Mic and had my attention with the tracks!!
YTA has been in the rap game for a good while now, and you can tell from the quality and flow that he delivers, that he's been doing it for awhile and that he's passionate about his work. His vocals have a bit of a raspyness to the tone, which sets off the tracks nicely in a grimey manner, yet the flow and delivery of the tracks brings ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What's up hip hop heads? I had to bring the review back your way again on another bangin' hip hop video! Some of you remember before that I covered a review on Mic Nice's track and video, "Go", on a previous blog entry. If you didn't watch that particular video and read the review, you need to go check that one out too. But on another tip, Mic Nice brought PURE FIRE, and trust me when I say this, PURE FIRE, with this new track and video, "Evil People"! Watch it below and see what I mean!
I had the chance to watch this video on Youtube and Yooo, Mic Nice brought it hard this time around! This is what I'm talking about when I say "real hip hop", that lyrical flava, that "make you think shyt" that used to be so dominant back in the 90's era, that somehow got lost along the shuffle of mainstream hip hop and all the dance style Hip POP ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What's goin' on? As we all know, the internet is flooded with a lot of information everywhere. Unfortunately, in that same respect, that makes searching things sometimes a bit harder to do, ironically enough, especially when it comes to music! However, when you're in need of free mp3 downloads, and just want access to listen to some hot music while you surf the web or work on business stuff such as I also do online, then you'll want to check out Free Mp3 Rapid Download for the tracks!

Well, I had to feed the minds of all of the readers again with a bit more insight on the lyrical forefront, this time from a lyrical soldier who goes by the name Sun Rise Above, or also known as Sun R.A.. This kat has brought that true lyrical flava of hip hop to the forefront, proving that hip hop is NOT dead, but that it resides strongly in the hearts of kats like Sun R.A. and others who still respect and appreciate the lyrical form that hip hop was birthed to be. You know I def give props whenever I hear kats that bring that lyrical flava especially when it reminds me of some of the greats of the 90's that influenced me to begin with, and Sun R.A. definitely brings that flava in my opinion!
But then it's no surprise though. Sun R.A. has been spitting lyrical infernos in the underground for some years now, another sign that shows he's still about the game, ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
NokSide Shows That Positive Hip Hop Music Still Stands Strong
Just when you thought that all hip hop seemed to lean more towards was commercialized dance a booty type music, there are artists out there that prove that positive hip hop music still stands strong! There are a handful of artists out there that are still grindin' it out in the underground and bringing uplifting and soulful music to the forefront, and NokSide is grindin' hard and making heavy music presence with his soulful flava!
If you look, um, rather, listen around you, you hear more and more kats that are geared towards this constant trend of trap music, looking for trap beats and making this type of music non stop. However, for that smooth lyrical sound that was made famous by artists like The Roots, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and others in that genre of conscious rap, it seems that this flava has taken a bit of a backseat, which is a damn shame personally. When one thinks of electronic music, the thought that probably comes to mind is the scene of a night club and some rhythmic, catchy dance vibe just taking over the club. Outside of that, not many people probably gave much thought to electronic dance music at all. But over the years, it has really become much bigger and more intense than some may think or even give it credit for. And recently, it's growing to even stronger heights than ever imagined!
The vibe of electronic music has actually been around for quite some time, probably as far back as the early 70's when it of course was associated to that night club feel. DJ's took the vibe of it and amplified it to make the crowds really feel the intensity of the music and want to groove and dance all night. However, it never really got the publicity that other genres of music, like Rock n Roll, or Disco, or Hip Hop received over their growths. ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
I often ask myself from time to time, what is it about hip hop that keeps me focused in on it and continuing to network more and more, and to continue to make beats. What is it about hip hop that lets me enjoy it as much as I do, that has me immersed in all of her beauty from head to toe. And when I ask myself that, I'm reminded. I remain in hip hop because of hott music, bangin' artists and singers who do their thing on the mic, not for the goal of putting anything together just for cash, but for the love of the music and all that Lady Hip Hop stands for! I'm reminded again to the answer with the latest track and video I've seen and heard: "GO" from Mic Nice!
Before I even go further, I'll let you peep the video for yourself. You can check it out below:
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Music is a great thing, and what's great about it is that you can have more and more artists, producers, etc coming to the music scene and it will never be saturated. And yet some of the music industry does seem repetitive in nature, you still have those that come to the forefront, putting in their hustle and grind and making music not for the hustle of trying to be famous like everyone else being mimicked out there, but simply for the love of music, for the love of hip hop in this case, which is what ThoughtsAtWerk brings to the table!
I visited their website, and I gotta say, the quote on their bio really caught my eye: "The Greatest pleasure in life is doing what you're told you cannot do". That quote right there speaks so many volumes it's ridiculous! I mean absorb that thought for a moment as a musician, as a hip hop ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
When it comes to music, the joy of creating it is that you can come up with a variety of new styles, fusions, blends, and whatever else comes to your creative mind to put together. And that is the case with the Electro rhythmic, pop duo "Speakers" as they continue to fuse together a blend of hip hop, R&B, pop, and electronic pop to make their music unique, to make it catchy, and to make everyone move to it! And that is the case with their latest EP, "New Frequency" that was released this May 8th, 2012!
First off, before I go into anything else about the music, go check them out now and listen to their music. You can find the entire EP streaming at http://listn.to/speakers now!! It's actually pretty intense and does immediately give off a strong hip hop feel of the old school but fuses the other elements really well in it, especially the dance feel and the electronic pop sounds. So I thought I'd take a moment to list my top ten rap songs by Wu-Tang Clan as one of the many tributes that I'll probably post on my blog in reference to 90's hip hop music. After all, for me, I'd have to say that most of my hip hop beats are influenced by the bangin' flava that the 90's era put out. This was the era that hip hop blew up big time, and that wordplay was at its highest peak! Though hip hop in my eyes and ears is long gone from what it used to be in the 90's, I still want to give the tribute where it's due, and so I decided to list what I feel are probably my top ten rap songs from Wu-Tang Clan... and this is compiled from songs that either the Wu did as a whole, or that individual or combined artists did (not subsidiaries such as ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

So about a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to interview with what I refer to as Hip Hop Truth, or "Fayettenam's Finest" hip hop lyricist / production duo, er, trio known as Prosthetik Intelligentz straight outta Fayetteville, NC. Trio'd by hip hop lyricist Ezzie B, music producer B.Doom, and the ever so talented hypeman known as HIPplusHOP, this group is grinding hard, dedicated to hip hop music, enjoying creating and living it, and promoting their music more and more, putting their face on the map not just locally or nationally, but globally as well!
The interview was great, and these kats are definitely down to earth, all about enjoying the moment, and making, living, and breathing hip hop the way it was supposed to be enjoyed! They do it for the love, for the art, and give the fans great eargasmic music to enjoy! Take a trip with me as I ask some questions to the group, ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Busta Rhymes When Disaster Strikes - Classic Joint
Who back in the day was a Busta Rhymes fan? I don't mean a fan of the commercial joints that kept being played over and over on the radio, I mean that real powerful "nod ya head" style? Were you a fan of the Busta Rhymes When Disaster Strikes album? If you were, if you had it, or if you heard it, you'll know that there were some pretty tight tracks on that album, I mean some bring it to ya ears boom bap style hip hop music! The lyrics, the mood, the feel, it was definitely a hip hop music album for the ages. And of the tracks on that album, this one was one that stood out to me:

Okay, I heard this track on BET's 106 & Park the other day more in depth than I ever allowed myself to listen to before... and I'm really not sure but it just doesn't do it for me. I know there are so many out there that will stick by this track and call it hip hop music... and maybe it is, or maybe I'm so stuck into the mindset of more of the 90's hip hop era where hip hop lyrics blew me away and the power of hip hop beats and rap instrumentals back then really set the track into motion! Can any of you all tell me what really makes this track "one of the hottest hip hop tracks ever" as I've heard some people call it? I don't understand it...
The latest installment to "The Drought Is Over" series is still questionable as far as a release date, and there are leaks around the internet of tracks that are going to be featured on this anticipated hip hop mixtape. Then there are others who question what the hell was in mind with the person who did the cover art... some see it as no problem at all, and others are of course not so pleased with the cover. Is Lil Wayne posing as though he is Christ reincarnate? Or what is he conveying on this album cover?
Of course, there is always the controversy when ever anyone imitates or impersonates Christ in any type of picture, especially the crucifixion image... so the question is, has he pushed some fans away with this album cover? Are people overreacting to the image on the cover? What are your thoughts to the mixtape album cover? Tasteless? The tightest cover art you've ever seen? Sources show from TMZ, that Kelis is flat broke, and needs her current husband Nas to shell out money for baby expenses and other needs. Sources also say that Kelis has indeed filed her paperwork for petitions to push for spousal support, child support, pregnancy needs, and medical bills in relation to her pregnancy. While Prodigy of Mobb Deep does his time in the penitentary for gun

“Now it’s the slavery of our minds covertly,” P wrote. “There’s people out there who get the chills when they hear Rick Ross,

Alchemist said to release Chemical Warfare this coming July:
Listed release date of one of the illest hip hop / rap producers,
The Alchemist, is said to be released this July 7th, 2009. The entire

It’s funny but when I look back to music in the 90’s, and listen to
the hip hop music of today, I’m still lost as to where the music has
changed so drastically to where lyrical music is hardly even created
anymore. Let me clarify… for hip hop / R&B, it seems like (to me)
that lyrical music is hardly created anymore. More and more songs are
playing chameleon to other songs, and the entire radio airwaves are
saturated with wanna be songs and wanna-wanna be songs. What happened
to the originality? What happened to lyrical content? I’m clueless.
I guess my mind has gone through one of those timewarps that we used to
clown our parents about when we were growing up, whenever we’d hear
songs they played around us. I can sorta tolerate songs of today in
the hip hop and R&B field, but it’s more on the level of
instrumentals or beats if anything. The words on some of these songs
