It seems that as social media becomes bigger and bigger in nature, and more and more tools are made to interact and use social media, more of your favorite people are jumping on board as well, such as actors, athletes, and yup, musicians! So exactly who are some of the musicians out there using Instagram to amplify their social media status? This person's blog compiled a list of 50 great musicians that are using Instagram!
Now I'm not going to list all 50 musicians on here that are using Instagram. You can check out the blog post on Squidoo on the 50 great musicians that are using it. If you're anything like I am, than I'm sure that there are points where you like to ride in the whip and bang out some serious tracks, but don't have the right car audio equipment on hand. I think I'm very particular myself, and I remember at one point, that my amplifier blew out. Maybe it's the O.C.D. within me that I still don't know I have or not, but when my amplifier blew out, I had to try my best to get my car fixed immediately, and had to buy a new amp. I couldn't ride around with some radio speakers without some kind of kick. And if you're anything like I am, you value car audio equipment just as much as I do if not more. Have you had your speaker or amp blow out and you felt lost? Lol!
It's a troubling thing indeed, and sometimes you just don't want to shell out incredible money for a simple amplifier or pair of speakers ... >>Read The Full Article Here...

The latest website that will be tackling the issue of getting people to listen to your music and generate fans is in pre-launch now, and this website is called TuneTrade. Where Can I Find Sounds To Take My Music To The Next Level?
"Where can I find sounds to make beats?" - Where some aspire as rappers and singers to find beats that will set themselves off on their next hip hop mixtapes or rap albums, r&b albums or videos, and other projects in the works, others are out there aspiring to make beats themselves, and looking for ways, and sounds, to do so. And then there are artists that try to find a way to make their own beats so as not to worry about having to buy them either (though this isn't always the greatest option if you have a project pressed). With that said, the question of 'where can I find sounds' depends on what you are looking for. Here are some ideas:
SoundsForBeats.com - If you are looking for a variety of musical instrument sounds that you can use to make beats in FL Studio, Reason, Cubase, etc. and are looking to build ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What are the best beats to rap on or instrumentals to sing over when it comes to your craft? If you are an R&B artist, should you only be limited to the styles that most R&B instrumentals tend to have? Are you forbidden to writing on something harder? And must all R&B music be deep and emotional or sensual and passionate? Or what if you're more of a street rapper reppin' and spittin' about the hood? Should you not be allowed to write some deep inspiring lyrics to something more subtle and mood setting? What are your thoughts? Should thug rappers stay thug rappers and R&B singers not have any emotions other than sweet or deep?
The truth is, with so many different styles out, and so many different producers, there's even more of a variety out now than ever before in terms of what beats to rap on or what you should sing to. You have producers that ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
What Is Rap Music - My Thoughts On This Age Old Question
What is rap music? This question gets steamrolled over and over again, with so many different answers that one can't even begin to put together the correct answer. Is there a correct answer? Or is it all in the eyes, or should I say ears, of the beholder? I guess that's what the question really is, to me anyway.
So what is it? Some people see it as a form of expression. If you can spit a few bars over some hot rap beats and express a particular topic, then you have the answer. Some others feel that as long as you have a bounce to the overall track, even if the lyrics aren't all there, you still have an answer to that age old question, "what is rap music?".
So on that note, I'll probably get blasted by some for this, and maybe not so much by others, which proves my basis, that it's all ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Hip Hop On The Radio - Is It Helping Or Killing Hip Hop Music?
Hip hop on the radio - do you enjoy what is playing today? Or do you find yourself looking for other hip hop and rap music to listen to because what you hear on the radio is just not what you're enjoying? Do you wish that the radio had more lyrical hip hop being played? Or is hip hop all about the club style dance music versus the lyrical "think" music that used to be played more so on the radio back then?
Remember when you would hear hits like "Renee" by Lost Boyz, or "You're All That I Need" by Method Man ft. Mary J Blige? To me, hip hop on the radio was bumpin' back then, and you still had a mix of different types of hip hop music. It wasn't all about the club bounce type music that is being played today, at least from my standpoint. You had variety ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Mobb Deep Beats - Which Are Your Top 5 Beats Of All Time?
Over the years, I have had some influences from all kinds of hip hop music, rap music, r&b music, and even other types of music such as classical music, movie scores, and even video game music. In the course of hard, gangsta street rap, the beats always stand out to me. One of the more influential hip hop groups that has impacted my hip hop beats style has to be Mobb Deep.
The grimey and raw style of beats that came to the table, followed up with some nice lyrical warfare really had me listening and wanting to hear more. The earlier albums especially influenced me, such as the "Hell On Earth" rap album or the "Murda Muzik" album as well. Even the "Infamy" album placed some influence onto my music production. I mean, the lyrics were raw, the beats were simple but on point, and the marriage between lyrics and beats brought ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
Dark Rap Instrumentals - Does It Provoke Death Or Is It Just Aggressive?
There's often a lot of debate about whether dark rap instrumentals are just aggressive in nature, or if they call out the beast from within, making lyrical havoc occur in reality. I personally don't think it's so much that music causes actions to be done... though some always want to blame musicians for their suicide attempts or their murder sprees. So do dark rap instrumentals cause the same issue?
Most horrorcore rap artists are the ones that prefer the darkest of rap beats to use in their mixtapes or albums. Horrorcore rappers are known to have a very vulgar and descriptive array of bloodshed, mayhem, and dismemberment going on, among other topics that are brought about. But if the case were that music such as dark hip hop music influenced others to kill people all the time, would there not be a whole lot more dead bodies that would be reported all over the ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
The hip hop industry continues to grow more and more with new artists, new singers, and of course, new beat makers and producers.
Added to the list of new hip hop beat makers is Iggy Flow of 7 Side Strong Productions. Iggyflow has started to put together a catalog of beats, including one more popular on Soundclick called "Iggy's Jerkbeat" where he does a spin to the known "New Boyz" track "You're A Jerk".

Just when you thought you heard it all... you never really have heard it all. It's official... ANYTHING can be turned into an Autotune remix! It never ceases to amaze me what's taken, flipped, and remixed, but this one may surprise you if you haven't already seen it especially. So what exactly is the content that was changed up?
A few days ago, in Huntsville, Alabama, there was an incident involving an attempted rape. The dude apparently climbed up to the 2nd floor using a garbage can to lift himself up. The girl was not raped, but funny enough, the rape is not even the focus of the article at all. It is on brother Antoine Dodson of the attempted victim who voiced his opinions of the whole ordeal. He was very upset and voiced his opinion on live TV. I can't really say too much because it still doesn't give you the feel of the video. You may have to see the original Antoine Dodson ... >>Read The Full Article Here...
