The more and more we delve into the years, the more you can see that social media is definitely buzzing strong.  Everyone's sharing more of their personal lives and their career lives with everyone online, down from Facebook and Twitter, Google+ and so on!  And along with those social sites, you can't forget Instagram!  In fact, there has been a major surge of people using Instagram within the last few months, including many musicians as of late it seems.  Among the surging of Instagram users among the music community, Techno and EDM (Electronic Dance Music) has really seen a boost of people with followers!  So who are some of these big boys on Instagram you can follow?

If you're not familiar with Instagram, real brief, it is a social media site in which you can pretty much take pictures with your phone of anything, make comments on them, and share them with your followers.  And more and more people are using Instagram to promote themselves in different ways than the traditional "shoutout" of your brand and so forth.  And these Techno and EDM musicians are doing it up big on Instagram as well!

I won't go into the major detailed list of artists / producers that are using Instagram on here, but I will list some of the main ones that you may be familiar with.  Either way, you can check them out and follow them as well!

AFROJACK:  One of the more well known EDM artists / producers out there is Afrojack, and he has amassed a mass following of people on Instagram.  He's a major Techno DJ well known for the hits "Take Over Control" and "Can't Stop Me".  The total photos he's posted so far is over 240 pics, and over 163,000 followers!  Believe that!

DEADMAU5:  Joel Thomas Zimmerman, aka Deadmau5, is a major progressive house / trance music producer and known well around the world.  If you have FL Studio, you may have also noticed the name on some demo tracks that come with it.   Deadmau5 has been doing music for a while and has amassed a Major following as well!  If you've seen the mouse head, you know it's Deadmau5!  He has well over 600 photos and has easily built a following of Over 600,000 followers on Instagram!

STEVE AOKI:  Another well known name in Techno / EDM is Steve Aoki.  He has been a major player in the game for awhile as well, and has also been using Instagram to his advantage.  He is also known well around the world and has done a large variety of remixes and original music.  He recently was a headliner at the Lollapalooza 2013 event recently!  He has snapped over 2,200 photos and also has well over 600,000 followers under him on Instagram as well!

DAVID GUETTA:  Also known well across the world for his major hit, "One Love" back in 2009, David Guetta is no stranger to  Electro House music.  He has been producing for years now and has made a major name for himself, including having sold over 6 million albums and 15 million singles worldwide!  How's THAT for success?!  And his Instagram success?  Let's just say that he's built a major following of over 600,000 followers as well!

As you can see, there are major players in the Instagram world that are using it for their benefit, building followers, promoting music and events, and simply sharing their lives and their experiences and careers with their followers!  Social media after all isn't just about sharing a link or two, it's about building a following and sharing what you enjoy, what you're experiencing, and letting your followers have a taste of that experience as well!  Til then, keep grindin' to success!
